BIGVU alternative: ScriptCam
ScriptCam is a BIGVU alternative if you mainly want a teleprompter that records: it keeps your script near the lens, writes a draft with AI, and compares takes side by side. BIGVU's listing describes a wider video toolkit with captions and AI avatars. Choose ScriptCam for focus, BIGVU for an all-in-one app.

What ScriptCam does
ScriptCam puts your script on screen right under the camera while you record on iPhone or iPad. There are five text positions, adjustable font size, width and opacity, and five auto-scroll speeds. Mirror mode works with beam-splitter teleprompter rigs.
The AI writer drafts a script from a topic in one of four tones, from 30 seconds to 5 minutes long. You can also type, paste or dictate your own. Mark your best take or play two takes side by side.
Pricing
The free plan includes 5 scripts, 3 takes per script, recordings up to 3 minutes, 3 AI scripts a day and video up to 1080p. Pro removes those limits and adds 4K on supported iPhones, voice tracking, cloud sync and link import, as an auto-renewing subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. See the App Store listing for current prices.
Which to pick
Pick ScriptCam if the job is reading a script naturally and recording it. Pick BIGVU if you want captions, AI avatars and clip tools in the same app. Many creators only need the first.
